Sheri Martin has served in the upper echelons of corporate property management for more than 30 years involved primarily in acquisitions, dispositions and management. Working as an executive Sheri combines the best of all her property management experience to effectively oversee all aspects of management for Cornerstone.
Her focus on client relations for Cornerstone guarantees that our client services are always equal to our clients’ needs. The recipient of many industry awards, Sheri graduated with a BS degree from the University of Utah.
Scott joined Cornerstone Residential in 2015 following his 19 years of multi-family experience. Along with his degree in International Business from the University of Utah, he has successfully gained knowledge from several management companies in multiple capacities.
Scott currently oversees the day to day operations, driving our teams to reach their property’s full potential and maximizing revenue. Additionally, he works closely with investors and owners in helping them achieve their investment goals by analyzing new investments and conducting market analysis research on a consistent basis.
As CFO, John and his staff are responsible for 1) the accurate tracking and reporting of portfolio operations, and 2) an accurate tracking of individual asset performance, including timely payment of expenses and comprehensive reporting to the corporation.
John is in charge of all partnership compliance and reporting. This necessitates precise knowledge of all the partnership agreements and stipulations in order to meet each partner’s demands. Mr. Saltzgiver presently manages 45 partnership entities for Cornerstone.
BJ joined Cornerstone Residential as a Regional Vice President in 2013. Her consistent and committed work ethic contributed to her promotion to Senior Vice President in January 2018. As Senior VP, she oversees rural development, tax credit, conventional and Section 8 properties.
BJ has worked in the property management field for 17 years. She has spent most of her career in various roles such as Leasing Agent, Financial and Collections Manager, Property Manager, and Regional Manager. BJ’s areas of expertise and include, marketing, collections, leasing, and mentoring.
Rick joined Cornerstone Residential in November 2013 as a Community Manager and was promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations in 2016. With over 12 years of experience in property management, as well as a Business Management Degree, he has led tax credit, Section 8, and conventional communities.
As a Regional VP, he is responsible for all facets of residential properties, including preparation of annual budgets, financial cash flow forecasting, profit and loss statements, management and marketing plans. Rick is a proven, dedicated professional in the industry with skillful knowledge of apartment management operations.
Jared joined Cornerstone in 2016 as a Property Manager and was promoted in February 2018 to Regional VP of Operations. Jared has 8 years’ experience in multi-family as well as commercial experience within Cornerstone. He has managed LIHTC, conventional, and lease-up properties and is currently working on acquiring his Real Estate License to strengthen his knowledge of the market and industry.
Jared excels in overall cost reduction as well as increasing net rental income and overall NOI. Jared’s focus on resident retention and customer service has made a positive impact on the entire Cornerstone portfolio.
Melanie has been in the property management industry for nine years, starting as a Leasing Agent in 2011. She quickly worked her way up to Property Manager and was recruited to Cornerstone in 2015. Melanie moved to Southern Utah in 2019 where she successfully managed two lease ups for Cornerstone Residential.
She was promoted to Regional Vice President over our Southern Utah properties in early 2020, overseeing both conventional and tax-credit properties. Through leasing and marketing efforts, she leads her staff to achieve retention and occupancy goals for each community.
Brittany’s passion for property management began when she joined the team as a leasing agent in 2010. Since then, she worked on-site at over 25 properties with a strong background in tax credit, section 8, senior, lease-up, rehab, and conventional communities. She now has 13 years of multi-family experience and currently oversees several portfolios nationwide.
Known as the fixer, she excels in boosting income at any property by increasing market rents, occupancy rates, and maximizing other income. She is also exceptionally adept at cost reduction. Her leadership and ability to provide quick and effective solutions has greatly contributed to Cornerstone's growth. Brittany received her bachelor's degree from Utah State University.
Devyn has worked in the property management industry since 2011. She started as a Leasing Agent and learned the business from the ground up. She was promoted to an Assistant Manager then moved quickly into a Manager position. Devyn joined Cornerstone as a Regional Vice President in June of 2020.
She has experience with lease-ups and as a Manager oversaw seven properties at one time. Devyn has received multiple awards including GPR and EGI growth. Her work ethic and enthusiasm make her a strong member of the Cornerstone team.
Jetsabel Colon has been in the property management industry for 14 years. She started as a Leasing Agent but challenged herself to learn all aspects of property management and was quickly promoted to Property Manager.
Jetsabel joined the Cornerstone team in 2016 and in 2020 was promoted to Regional Vice President over conventional properties in Utah. Jetsabel has strengths in collections and leasing she also specializes in the growth of NOI and EGI for each of her properties.
Justin joined the Cornerstone Residential team in November 2020 as the Regional VP of Operations for Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and California. He brings over 17 years of property management experience, with a primary focus in multi-family and senior Section 8, LIHTC properties as well as single family property management.
Justin holds a Nevada Real Estate License, Nevada Property Manager Permit and numerous certifications in affordable housing.
Jacci Brewer joined Cornerstone Residential in December 2013 as a Leasing agent and was promoted to Property Manager in 2016. She worked as a District Manager until receiving a promotion in 2021 to Regional Vice President of Operations. Jacci specializes in new project management, customer and employee relations.
Her expertise in expense negotiations and income management have made her a valuable asset to the Cornerstone team as well as adding tremendous value to the clients she works with. She continues to increase her skillset working with new clients as well as handling new property lease-ups.
Jill joined Cornerstone Residential in as an Assistant Manager in 2012. She was promoted to Manager in 2016 and to her current role as Regional Vice President of Operations in 2021. Jill’s tenacious attitude and experience working every managerial role within the company has given her the ability to understand all aspects of property management inside and out. Her bottom-up training has led her to be an excellent leader and skill-developer as she understands the ins-and-outs of leasing, collections, and team building. Her well-rounded skillset and can-do attitude is a valuable addition to the team as she helps to develop teams and owner assets in a wide-scope portfolio.
Tammy is the Chief Compliance Director for Cornerstone Residential. She has over 16 years in the IRS Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit business. Tammy’s responsibilities include the training of all management personnel in Section 42 compliance, maintaining an auditing system that insures total program compliance with Federal and State regulations, and assisting in the writing on a comprehensive Section 42 LIHTC manual.
Tammy comes from a background of Senior Management in the property management business and comes to the compliance department with the management perspective of getting qualified applicants moved in as quickly as possible and thus creating an extremely quick turnaround policy. The combination of strong management background and expert LIHTC skills has created a most effective compliance team; Some of Tammy’s background includes having been closely involved in multiple acquisition rehab / conversion / resyndication projects, third-party management, and management of Section 42 LIHTC / Conventional / Section 8 communities.
